Friends from church were ready to sell their tent camper and gave it to us for a steal.

Reminded me of the one my parents had when I was a kid.

It didn't have any amenities like heat, or hot water, but was very nice to have indoor cooking and a sink.

Weather: Sunny, warm-hot, very breezy in the Gorge

The campground is nice, large open grassy area.  The bathrooms were the nicest we've seen so far.  Right on the river.  Campsites are very open and near each other.  The campground is very loud at night due to the constant wind blowing through the trees. 

Visited the Stonehenge replica. 

Fort Worden State Park

Weather: Sprinkles on Saturday and overnight, but sunny Sunday and Monday

Clint & Carla Gawthrop's wedding was the 25th in Port Townsend with the reception at the Fort.

Very nice campground - all sites have hook-ups.  Sites are rather open. Beach sites are right on the beach, but upper sites (where we were) are less windy.  Nice area to walk around and hang out.

Weather: chilly then sunny Sunday afternoon,  poured Monday morning

Our site was very exposed with a road on 2 sides.  Best sites in the campground ates at Midwway or Mountain Lakes.

Nice area with lots of hikes and lakes.  Drove up to the top of Mt. Constitution - great view!

Don't ever go on a holiday weekend again.  We had a 3 hour wait for a return ferry.

We went hiking and Jeff fell over a small waterfall and got soaked up to his chest.  Luckily he wasn't hurt.

Eric brought a gigantic tarp and attempted to rig it up to cover the campsite.  Didn't really work unfortunately.

Colonial Creek

Weather: gorgeous sunshine all weekend

Very beautiful area - on the shores of Diablo Lake.  Took our blow up dingy and hiked it up the trail,  blew it up and floated back down.

Get there early for a good spot.  Campground filed up quickly.  We ended up in a walk-in site, over 100 yards uphill from the car.

Weather: sunny until early Sunday morning when it poured.  Cleared up by morning.

Very beautiful campground right in the river which you can hear from all the sites.  Lots of nice hikes,  but you can't take dogs on the hikes so Loki had to stay in the car.

Beautiful river rapids. Eric can't wait to go fishing on the river and climb on the rocks.
