Belfair State Park

August  24-27, 2011

Who: Dianne, Joshua, Nora, Cole, Casey, Elsa, Nora, Sam

Nice park on the river.  Sites by the beach are nicer and bigger.  Area we were in, the sites are very small and close together.

Playground is nice, but small.  Swimming in the river was great for the kids.

We had a tire blowout on the way home.  Luckily, we were only a few miles from a Les Schwab and they didn't close for another hour.

Naches

August 5-7, 2011
Forest Service Campground, Naches

Who: Eric, Dianne, Joshua, Nora, Cole, Casey, the Jensens

No hook-ups for water, pit toilets. But, really nice for rural camping.  You can collect firewood and make huge fires.

Best for a group as there is nothing for the kids to do.

Queen Bed

The motorhome came with twin beds in the back.  Our original plan was to remove all the upper cabinets and put in bunks.  Eric and I decided we weren't interested in sleeping in the overhead cab and scrapped that idea.

We took out the twin mattresses and nightstand between them.  Put down some plywood and put a queen mattress on top.  The motorhome was wider than the mattress, but that just gave us more room to store books and things.  The big space under the bed worked out great to store all the camping chairs and toys.
