Who: Eric, Dianne, Joshua, Nora, Logan, Jon, Missy

Amazing!  Our site was right next to Hood Canal. Excellent views.  The kids spent hours and hours playing in the water.  Also has a river to play in and a playground.

Weather was gorgeous as well.

We didn't pack up quick enough for the park ranger and he threatened to fine us.  We tossed everything in the motorhome and drove over to the day use area to sort it all out before heading home.

Who: Eric, Dianne,  Joshua, Nora, Logan, the George's

Park is nice. Wooded sites, very private.  Has historical buildings to look at, and hikes, but no real beach to swim in and no playground. 

Bobbi Ann brought a bunch of root beers and the kids had a taste test.

Staircase Campground, by Lake Cushman

Who: Eric, Dianne, Joshua, Nora, Logan, Thaddeus, Terrious, Conner, Jon & Missy (8 kids, 2 adults)

Rained quite a bit - made us realize how much the front window leaks.  Boys stayed outside in a tent. 

The sites were designed long before motorhomes and we had a hard time finding a site where we could fit.  Amazingly enough, we ended up on a site right on the river.  It was gorgeous.  The kids had a blast jumping into the river, fully clothed as we didn't bring swimsuits.
